The trade of Derek Stepan will not change where J.T. Miller starts the season with the New York Rangers.
With the New York Rangers continuing to search for a center, Larry Brooks of the New York Post reported in his interview with head coach Alain Vigneault that he would not immediately shift Miller to center.
“At some point, he might play center, but I’m not sure about starting the season that way.” AV added that first round pick Lias Andersson ” has great hands and he can play. He is going to have every opportunity.”

Rumors on Tyler Bozak possibly becoming a Ranger ongoing
Dan Rosen of NHL.Com reports that he has not heard of any substantial talks that this may be in the works. If you look at all the pieces that need to be involved for this to happen, it does make sense that the two sides might talk about a trade with the Rangers need for a center and Toronto’s need for help on defense.
