New York Mets’ Matt Harvey does not seem overly frazzled by the fact that he is not on the mound helping his team win games.

Matt Harvey, who will be missing an extended period of time with an injury in his scapula bone, did not seem too devastated on Sunday night.

The Mets starter was reportedly seen in the Hamptons, in a rented estate in Montauk. Harvey was first seen with his friends at Surf Lodge, and later seen at “reggae night” in Swallow East.

Inside reports suggest that Harvey and friends were drinking tequila, gin and tonics, vodka and Red Bull, and didn’t leave until 10 p.m.

Coincidentally, Harvey’s answer to “what are Saturdays for?” during a press conference in May was, “The boys. And the Hamptons, too.” I guess we should have seen this coming.

Although Harvey wasn’t required to be with the Mets in San Francisco this past weekend, you can’t help but think that the once prized starter should be laying low while recovering from an injury.

According to Page Six, Harvey apologized for his actions.

Let’s hope that Harvey is the only Mets starter that has been acting this way while injured.
