Series Recap:

The Pittsburgh Penguins and Nashville Predators put together a historic Stanley Cup Finals. Historic because Nashville had the worst record among playoff teams and steamrolled to the Finals.

Historic because the Penguins are now the only team to repeat as champions in the salary-cap era, and the first team to repeat since the Red Wings who won in 1997 and 1998.

The nail bitter that was game six made up for the first five games. Patric Hornqvist scored with 1:35 left to break a 0-0 tie and clinch the Stanley Cup. Former New York Ranger Carl Hagelin sealed it with an empty-netter with 13 seconds left.

For the second straight year, Sidney Crosby won the Conn Smyth Trophy, awarded to the playoff MVP. He became the first player to win the award in back to back years since Mario Lemieux.

People ask me what I do in the summer when there's no hockey, I tell you what I do, I still talk about hockey.
