Get ready to see Alex Rodriguez on tv more. The former New York Yankee has signed a deal to join ABC News as a contributor.

According to Emily Smith of Page Six, Rodriguez will appear as an on-air contributor for sports, family, and financial segments for shows across the network. Rodriguez will appear on Good Morning America, World News Tonight with David Muir and Nightline. He will likely just appear once a month.

“Alex is interested in doing lifestyle, family-oriented programing, such as a piece on how much your kids should be working out, or business and personal-finance reports, like how to overhaul your bills,” a source close to the former Yankee said.

The former Yankee is a full-time baseball analyst for Fox Sports. His MLB work will stay at Fox, but he could appear on GMA for a big baseball story. He is already part of the ABC family. He has already co-hosted The View and it has been announced that he will be a guest host on Shark Tank.

The question now is will Rodriguez be as good as a news contributor as he is a baseball analyst.
