Not only are the New York Mets on a bit of a roll as of late, but the cavalry is healing up and coming home.

Well, lookie here. Since losing a remarkable seven straight on the road, the New York Mets have won six of their last 10. More specifically, the club has been named victors in three of its last four.

After a series win in Pittsburgh over the weekend, Robert Gsellman led the way on Memorial Day against the Milwaukee Brewers. He went seven strong, surrendering just one earned run on three hits while striking out five in collecting the win.

Offensively, Gsellman did the most to help his own cause by driving in two of the four Mets runs. Michael Conforto, who rested on Sunday, added a RBI as did Rene Rivera.

On Tuesday, young Tyler Pill will take the mound for his first career MLB start. He’ll oppose righty Zach Davies.

If winning weren’t enough, Terry Collins has much to look forward to in terms of the cavalry making its return. Both Seth Lugo and Steven Matz have just one more rehab start remaining prior to joining the staff. Once returned, it looks as though Gsellman may be the odd-man out.

On top of that giddiness comes the impending return of slugger Yoenis Cespedes, who should be returning in 7-10 days.
