WR Brandon Marshall, the former New York Jet turned New York Giant, isn’t playing in the gutter anymore. At one time a dis from a teammate or foe would have elicited a much different response from the six-time Pro Bowler.

Marshall was sideswiped by former teammate Sheldon Richardson in the media on Tuesday at the opening of Jets’ OTAs saying the Jets have “15 reasons” the locker room is better this year. 15 was Marshall’s number with the Jets.

15 is now Marshall’s number with the Giants. Marshall was released by the Jets in March and immediately scooped up by the Giants, who have big plans for the 6-foot-4 wideout. When told of Richardson’s remarks, Marshall took the high road. After all, he’s a Giant now.

There is no love lost between the two men. Last season, after the Jets were crushed by the Chiefs in Kansas City (Ryan Fitzpatrick’s six INT performance) Marshall and Richardson had words and the hard feelings continued throughout the season.

The Jets dropped Marshall and tried like hell to trade Richardson this offseason but to no avail. This mini-rivalry should be fun to watch should it continue.
