Gisele Bundchen is trying to get her husband, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, to retire by saying that he has had concussions even though he hasn’t.

It doesn’t take much to get fans of the New England Patriots angry. Gisele Bundchen, the wife of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, has done just that by making people think that she’s trying to get her husband to retire.

Brady, 39, has said that he wants to play until he’s 45. On Wednesday, Bundchen told CBS This Morning that her husband has a history of concussions and that he had a concussion last year.

“He had a concussion last year. He has concussions pretty much every — I mean, we don’t talk about it. He does have concussions,” she said. “I don’t really think it’s a healthy thing for a body to go through that kind of aggression all the time. That could not be healthy for you.”

The problem with Bundchen’s claim is the Patriots didn’t report Brady as having a concussion at any point during the 2016 season and he hasn’t been listed for a concussion or head injury in his pro career. The NFL is looking into Bundchen’s claims.

“We have reviewed all reports relating to Tom Brady from the unaffiliated neurotrauma consultants and certified athletic trainer spotters who worked at Patriots’ home and away 2016 season games as well as club injury reports that were sent to the league office,” the NFL said in a statement. “There are not records that indicate that Mr. Brady suffered a head injury or concussion, or exhibited or complained of concussion symptoms. Today we have been in contact with the NFLPA and will work together to gather more information from the club’s medical staff and Mr. Brady. The health and safety of our players is our foremost priority and we want to ensure that all our players have and continue to receive the best care possible.”

During her interview with CBS This Morning, Bundchen was asked if she was trying to get her husband to retire. Her response was “I just have to say, as a wife …” which means “My husband cannot throw the bleeping ball and catch the ball at the same time, but you’re damn straight I want him to retire,” according to Bill Speros of the Boston Herald.

Patriots fans took to Twitter to say that Gisele is just trying to get Brady to retire now. It certainly looks that way but why make up a concussion story to get someone to retire? That is just dishonest and weak.

If you’re a fan of the New York Jets, you couldn’t agree more. It may be time to throw up a few more Gisele posters around the house.
