New York Rangers’ Mats Zuccarello Scores 2 Goals: Ties Game, Puts Club Ahead (Video)

The New York Rangers top guys are coming to play in game six against the Montreal Canadiens, specifically, Mats Zuccarello.

Our very own Greg Slotnick said it today: the top guns for the New York Rangers have shown face in the the first round Stanley Cup Playoff series against the Montreal Canadiens.

Henrik Lundqvist, Ryan McDonagh and Rick Nash are just three examples of these top guys getting it done.

Now, with game six at Madison Square Garden ongoing, there’s another guy who’s firmly planted his name on this list.

Mats Zuccarello.

Arguably, the heart and soul of the club, not only tied the game, but put the Blueshirts on top in the second period after the team fell behind 1-0 after the opening frame.

He first put one past Carey Price while on the power play (video above).

After it was tied, he then took a brilliant Kevin Hayes pass and put his team on top:

With the second period winding down, New York still leads 1-0, looking for the series-clinching victory.
