New York Knicks: Ron Harper Says Derrick Rose Will Never Win a Title (Video)

Whether it’s with the New York Knicks or not, Derrick Rose will not win an NBA championship — according to Ron Harper.

When five-time NBA champion  Ron Harper was asked where was the best place for New York Knicks point guard Derrick Rose to win a championship he responded with: “he’s not getting one.”

Derrick Rose will be a free agent at the end of this season and expressed that winning will be his priority instead of money. It is unclear what the market will be for Rose, who is entering free agency for the first time in his career. He did not close the door on returning to the Knicks, despite their commitment to running the triangle. The team hasn’t shut down a return for the point guard.

Rose is having a resurgent season, averaging 17.8 points per game and 4.4 assists while appearing in 62 games. There have been flashes of MVP Derrick Rose at some points throughout the season. Unfortunately, poor team chemistry has led to poor results from the team, which is 27-45 and tanking for a high draft pick.

The likelihood of winning a championship in New York is slim, with the Knicks suffering their fourth losing season in a row. It will be interesting to watch how free agency plays out this summer.
