It has come and gone and unfortunately for the New York Knicks, it’s over and done with without a single move.
Ricky Rubio was the hot name over the last 24 to 48 hours. The Minnesota Timberwolves had put him up for sale with reports that they would, indeed, take back Derrick Rose. D-Rose, who flourished in Chicago under the leadership of Tom Thibodeau, would be reunited in Minnesota under that circumstance.
It didn’t happen. Phil Jackson couldn’t get the job done. While the word on the street has the T-Wolves as the ones who balked at the deal, D-Rose did, in fact, play with New York when they were crushed by LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday night.
