New York Mets: Yoenis Cespedes squats over 900 pounds (Video)

New York Mets slugger Yoenis Cespedes makes a 900 pound bear squat look like nothing, leaving us pondering if the man is from another planet.

New York Mets slugging outfielder Yoenis Cespedes is the definition of a beast, putting his strength on full display last week when he squatted over 900 pounds with ease.

The video shows Cespedes putting in six reps at 900 pounds, making the rest of us look like mere mortals compared to the Cuban-born star.

The right-handed machine just signed a contract with New York over the offseason worth four years/$110 million, which will be keeping him in a Mets uniform for at least the next four years.

Cespedes is coming off one of the best seasons of his career where he mashed 31 home runs, drove in 86 RBI’s and sported a .280/.354/.530 slash line.

There is no doubt the Mets will be relying on the slugger to replicate these stats so the team can return to the playoffs once again in 2017.

New York shouldn’t have much to worry about though because by the looks of his offseason workouts, 2017 could shape up to be one Cespedes’ best years yet.
