Meet Mohamed Bamba: The 5-Star prospect with the NBA wingspan (Video)

If you’ve never heard of Mohamed Bamba, Bleacher Report did their best introduction to one of the top basketball recruits in the country.

Social media has changed the way we look at high school basketball recruits. It’s made some of the NBA stars of tomorrow into household names before they even reach the collegiate level.

The latest 5-star name to catch Twitter’s eye is named Mohamed Bamba. He’s a center from Harlem, New York, and like most social media stars there’s something special about him.

Bamba has a wingspan (92 inches) that would surpass every NBA player before him but one. The one being current Utah Jazz center and arguably the best defensive player in the league, Rudy Gobert.

It’s no wonder Bleacher Report decided to turn him into a superhero. With the NBA game getting smaller, a giant with physical gifts like Bamba will be in high demand.

According to SBNation, Bamba is choosing between powerhouses Duke and Kentucky as to where he’ll play his college ball next season. And DraftExpress has him as the No. 2 pick in the 2018 Draft.

No matter where he ends up, remember the name, Mohamed Bamba. You’re going to hear it again and again.
