Amar’e Stoudemire Offers Referee Glasses to Help Him See (Video)

Whatever you may think about former New York Knicks forward Amar’e Stoudemire, you have to give him props for this.

Although Amar’e Stoudemire retired from the NBA earlier this season, he has been playing overseas in Israel for Hapoel Jerusalem.

Obviously, New Yorkers will always have a special place in their hearts for STAT as he was the first star to make his way to the New York Knicks after a long period of misses and misery.

The former NBA All-Star did a tremendous job with this troll.

Check out the video above. Stoudemire offers the official his famed goggles. Nobody is aware of how it got to that point, but it probably had to do with a bad foul call. As in the NBA, most basketball players will plead their case to a referee after a call. But it is unclear if it has ever gone to this extreme.

Stoudemire signed a two-year deal with Hapoel Jerusalem, a team he partially owns after a very rough final season.

People ask me what I do in the summer when there's no hockey, I tell you what I do, I still talk about hockey.
