The Knicks City Dancers Or The Brooklnettes: Who Owns The City?
Adam Hunger and Noah K. Murray, USATSI

Now that the NBA is back, we finally put an end to the debate we’ve always come across: the Knicks City Dancers or the Brooklynettes?

The NBA is back and we couldn’t be more excited.

Sure, Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks couldn’t handle LeBron James and the defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers. And yeah, Jeremy Lin and the Brooklyn Nets’ comeback attempt was thwarted by the Boston Celtics.

It simply doesn’t matter.

The Knicks City Dancers and the Brooklnettes are back.

This means more phenomenal entertainment at Madison Square Garden and the Barclays Center every time Jeff Hornacek or Kenny Atkinson call timeout. It means our faces wear smiles every halftime and end of quarter sequence.

Who, though, is the better squad? This is the age old question we tackle today.

Odds are, you already know who the Knicks City Dancers are. This high-flying, wildly-entertaining group has been around for decades. They’ve always worn the tag of most popular NBA dance crew and it never seems to wear off.

Since 1991, the KCD have been the cream of the crop.

The Brooklynettes, on the other hand, are the new girls on the block. They’re brash and in your face, forcing a stare and twinkle at every turn. Brooklyn’s version has been called the “NBA’s Edgiest Dance Team,” via Charlotte Cowles of The Cut.

However, let’s calm down be honest and straight up: we won’t be able to figure out which group of girls runs the city. We’re simply not qualified to take on such a chore. Therefore, we’ll allow you, the fan, decide who rules the Big Apple roost with the following visuals.
