New York Giants

Only seven quarterbacks in the history of the NFL have thrown for 300 touchdowns. Eli Manning can become the eight on Sunday.

Eli Manning could reach an historic milestone on Sunday as the New York Giants take on the New Orleans Saints.

If Manning throws for three touchdowns on Sunday, he will become only the eighth quarterback in NFL history to throw for 300 touchdown passes – tying him with Hall of Famer John Elway.

Last season when these two teams meet, Manning threw for a career high six touchdown passes.

When you also consider he’s thrown for three touchdowns or more in three of the last five games dating back to last year, and going up against the poor Saints defense, the chances are good that he will reach this milestone on Sunday.

Years ago many scoffed at him when he referred to himself as an elite quarterback.

Now with two Super Bowls on his resume and the fact that he’s about to eclipse a milestone that only eight others have reached, no one is scoffing now.
