Asdrubal Cabrera’s hot week at the plate for the New York Mets landed him National League Player of the Week honors.
The New York Mets had a much better week last week, going 5-1 over the seven-day span. Shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera is a big reason why.
Overall last week, Cabrera batted .545 with three home runs, eight RBIs, and five runs scored, going through his best stretch offensively as a Met. That performance earned him the NL Player of the Week honors.
Asdrubal Cabrera is the NL Player of the Week. He hit .545 with three HR and 25 total bases, but left Sunday's game due to injury. #Mets

Recently coming off the DL, he has really produced as the Mets have seen a string of success. However, he left Sunday’s game with a sore left knee, the same injury that landed him on the DL.
Given that he has found his groove lately, one can only hope that Cabrera won’t be out too long.
