New York Jets: Dennis Rodman Gives Gang Green Some Added Motivation

The New York Jets hosted Dennis Rodman at training camp on Wednesday. The eccentric Rodman has the Jets fired up for 2016.

It’s safe to say that the New York Giants have dominated football in New York (technically New Jersey) in the 21st century. Big Blue has brought the Lombardi Trophy home twice since 2007 and have established themselves as arguably the best team in New York since the turn of the century.

With Tom Coughlin now gone, Dennis Rodman says it’s time for change in the Big Apple.

You know the flamboyant NBA Hall of Famer who established himself as a star in the NBA with his sensational defense and hustle with the Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls. Yeah, that guy. What’s he doing in New York?

The former Chicago Bulls stud showed up to Jets camp on Wednesday to give the Jets some additional inspiration for this year:

“Guess what? I’ve got the green on, baby, the green nails. Supporting the Jets right now. Guess what? It’s time for this team to do one thing, baby. It’s time to take over New York. No more Giants. It’s about the New York Jets, Jets, Jets, Jets.”

Thanks for the love, @dennisrodman! #JetsCamp

Talk about motivation. Jets fans haven’t seen a personality in training camp like him since, well, Rex Ryan for that matter.

Gang Green certainly shouldn’t need more motivation. They have unfinished business after their disappointing finish to last year’s season. But Rodman’s comments can’t hurt, right?
