Just because he’s now $86 million richer doesn’t mean Muhammad Wilkerson will suddenly be ready for New York Jets training camp.

Muhammad Wilkerson is now $86 million richer after signing a term of five years with Mike Maccagnan and the New York Jets on Friday.

This doesn’t mean magical fairy dust will suddenly heal his broken leg.

Big Mo sadly broke his leg in Week 17 against the Buffalo Bills last season. It was a painful image for all Jets fans in knowing how hard the man worked on the final year of his underwhelming rookie contract.

Although his rehab is going well, Rich Cimini of ESPN New York is reporting that Wilkerson will most likely begin training camp on the PUP (physically unable to perform) list.

This one serves as a simple bump in the road for what should be an excellent next five seasons wearing the green and white.
