Here is the exact heartbreaking moment that Daniel Cormier learns that Jon Jones won’t be able to fight because of a positive PED test.

Could you imagine training for months and months on end only to know it’s going towards a handful of minutes of fierce competition in a ring or an octagon?

This is what boxers and mixed martial artists do everyday.

They go through hell, all in effort for one opponent, one night.

This is what makes last-minute changes to fights so devastating. How about if you actually received a sneak peak into seeing what the reaction may be to news that your opponent will no longer be facing you?

This is what happened to Daniel Cormier recently.

UFC boss Dana White provided Cormier the news first-hand, with cameras on hand for UFC 200 Embedded – a series that allows fans a sneak peak in and around the latest happenings up to the big night. (The scene in question begins at the 4:10 mark.)

Cormier even asked White the following:

“Is there anything I can do? I’ll sign a release and we can just fight.”

Cormier, 37, was extremely upset upon hearing the news that he will not have a chance to claim the undisputed UFC Light Heavyweight Championship. He will now face the very dangerous Anderson Silva on late notice at Saturday’s UFC 200.
