After the devastating night that occurred in Dallas, some of our greatest stars, including Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James, spoke out.
Admittedly, it’s extremely tough to discuss sports after such a night. What the world watched in Dallas on Jul. 7 of 2016 was something unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. An example of counterproductive, senseless violence that can top Dallas is hard to come by.
Sports is the sandbox.
In the end it means very little. It isn’t real life and it doesn’t judge life and death.
But this is why we love sports. It’s an intersection of real life and something enjoyable – entertainment and competition for all. It’s unscripted, drama-filled content.
Stars such as Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James understand this notion. Just take a look at some of the overwhelming words, following Dallas, coming from our greatest sports stars:
This article says it all man! Sickens me and I shed multiple tears about it all. https://t.co/Tsj9646QoT #ItNeedsToStop #BlackLivesMatter
