Jose Reyes brought a little excitement to the table on Thursday by smacking his first home run since his return to the New York Mets.

Tonight, at Citi Field in Flushing, New York, it’s been all about the home run.

After the Washington Nationals smashed three home runs against Bartolo Colon – including Bryce Harper doing so with a “shhh gesture” as he crossed home plate – the New York Mets responded with two dingers of their own.

First, catcher Travis d’Arnaud hit a solo home run to the cut the lead to 4-2. Then, Jose Reyes brought much needed excitement to the table by smacking this solo shot near the Coca-Cola Corner (video above).

Curtis Granderson later scored on a Yoenis Cespedes RBI single to even the score at four in the 4th-inning.

The Nats have reclaimed a 1-run lead in the 5th-inning.
