New York Islanders general manager Garth Snow has an arduous task this offseason.

The Isles entered this year’s Entry Draft weekend with a whirlwind of trade rumors and a paucity of picks, but even with an ample amount of smoke, there wasn’t a trace of fire.

General manager Garth Snow had been rumored to be shopping the team’s nineteenth overall selection, but at the end of the day, he utilized the pick on Kieffer Bellows, a Minnesota native who is planning on attending Boston University next fall.

In consequence, the Isles are still lacking the power-up they so desperately crave.

The dry months of the offseason denote a significant amount of speculation, purporting to everybody from Steven Stamkos to David Backes getting a mention by the Isles faithful.
