Inside Look At How New York Jets’ Christian Hackenberg Got NFL Ready (Video)

Here’s an inside look at how Penn State product and New York Jets rookie quarterback, Christian Hackenberg, prepped himself for the NFL.

New York Jets rookie quarterback Christian Hackenberg has already suffered through accuracy issues early in his NFL career.

We saw a little of it at voluntary OTAs, and then a ton of it at mandatory minicamp. It begs the anxious question about whether or not he’ll ever make it as a bonafide NFL signal caller.

One thing that seems to be true, though, is that he’s prepped himself quite well.

Take a look at the video above from ESPN. It’s of Hackenberg showing off his footwork and keeping mind to fundamentals, all while Jordan Palmer explains the process.

This was the two and a half month span Hackenberg took after his Junior year to head out to Southern California in early January and live and breath like a pro QB.

Rich Cimini over at ESPN New York has the full story. Hackenberg not only prepped for the combine with this 10-week bootcamp, but he made sure to toss away any distractions.

Film, drills, health – it was all quarterback, all the time.
