New York Yankees: Starlin Castro Lifts Walk Off Home Run (Video)

The New York Yankees needed a big hit to salvage at least one game of this brief two-game set with the Colorado Rockies and Starlin Castro made it happen.

At first, this matinee between the Colorado Rockies and New York Yankees seemed bleak as the Bombers appeared as if they were about to suffer a disappointing loss. However, a comeback capped off by a Starlin Castro home run in the ninth made it all good as they won today’s contest 9-8.

Starlin’ my Darlin’ took a Jason Motte pitch into the seats in left for his tenth home run and RBI number 28. Perhaps this is what Castro needs to turn it around.

Since May 19, the Yankees’ second baseman has slashed .209/.240/.339 with only four home runs. The worst part of all, his win probability added for an offensive player was at -.424 entering today’s game but a spark can ignite an explosion. Just imagine this offense with a consistent Castro back in it.
