A Super Regional matchup between Miami and Boston College got animated following an epic home run and bat flip.

Edgar Michelangeli attends the University of Miami, but takes after someone who plays north of the border.

In an intensified Super Regional matchup against Boston College, Michelangeli crushed a grand slam to left-center field to put the game out of reach. However, it was not only the blast that irritated the BC players.

The junior third baseman admired his shot as he slowed up down the first baseline and as soon as it cleared the fence, he flipped his bat to provide some pure swagger to a thrilling moment.

Let’s just say the players of Boston College did not like the maneuver. They took it upon themselves to make it known that they viewed it as a classless act and the benches emptied with players exchanging words.

This was by no means the first time that Michelangeli took a moment to pat himself on the back for a huge home run. His game winning three-run dinger against NC State in the ACC Tournament can attest to that.

BC clearly wanted to teach him right from wrong this time around, but Miami got the last laugh as they came out victorious 9-4 in large thanks to their third baseman.
