New York Knicks

Phil Jackson‘s New York Knicks and its newest head coach Jeff Hornacek have now officially agreed upon a three-year contract.

The deed is done. It has now become official.

League sources told the Vertical (via Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports) that Jeff Hornacek and the New York Knicks have agreed upon a three-year deal to act as the next head coach. An official news conference is expected later this week.

All hardened Knickerbocker fans know the story.

Horny, as all of the major news outlets in the city have and will dub him, was chosen by Phil Jackson over the likes of Kurt Rambis, David Blatt, and fan-favorite Frank Vogel.

Hornacek’s last coaching gig came with the Phoenix Suns. No doubt a gig that started off extremely sunny, yet ended awfully sour. His record in Phoenix (his entire NBA head coaching experience) finished at a less than pleasing 101-112.
