New York Mets CF Juan Lagares Makes Willie Mays-Like Catch (Video)

Now that his shoulder is all healed we’re watching New York Mets centerfielder Juan Lagares do what he does best: Rob hitters.

When he’s healthy, nobody does it better.

The unfortunate part for the New York Mets and all fans alike was that Juan Lagares wasn’t healthy in 2015.

Now, in 2016, he’s back.

Check out this ridiculous over-the-shoulder and sideways catch Lagares makes in Game 2 of the Mets series against the NL East leading Washington Nationals (video above).

With Daniel Murphy up at the dish with two on and only one out, Lagares robbed the Nats of an extra run. A run scored on the sac-fly but that was hardly the point. Lagares’s ability to track a ball is unlike anything you’ll see in the big leagues today.

With Bartolo Colon struggling to find his rhythm, the Mets currently trail the Nats 5-2 in the top of the seventh inning.
