According to MLB’s famed application “At Bat,” New York Yankees slugger Joe DiMaggio broke out of an 0-for-7 slump on Sunday.

If you’re a fan of the New York Yankees, I bet you knew they were playing today (Sunday).

I bet you knew they were hosting the Chicago White Sox at The Stadium. I also bet you knew it was ace Masahiro Tanaka‘s turn to take the ball from manager Joe Girardi.

However, I bet you didn’t know both Joe DiMaggio and Phil Rizzuto were in the lineup.

Check out this golden nugget. Appearing on MLB’s famed At Bat application, DiMaggio broke an 0-for-7 slump in the first inning as he picked up a hit and scored teammate Rizzuto:

Now, I don’t know about you, but I do believe both Yankee legends didn’t make the lineup today.

Either the good folks at MLB snuck one in there to see if the general population was paying attention, or something seriously went wrong.

The actual man who scored in the first inning was Jacoby Ellsbury on a sac-fly by Carlos Beltran – who also later smashed his 400th career home run in the contest.

New York currently leads the surprising White Sox 5-4 in the top of the seventh.
