New York Yankees’ right fielder Carlos Beltran‘s 6th inning home run was No. 400 for his career, giving the Yankees the lead at the time.
Batting from the right side, Carlos Beltran drove a Zach Duke offering about three rows deep in left field to erase a 4-3 deficit and put himself in exclusive company.
With the shot, he became the 54th man in major league baseball history to join the 400 home run club.
Players to hit their 400th home run as Yankees: Ruth, Gehrig, Mantle, Jackson, Sheffield, A-Rod, Soriano & Beltran.

If Beltran is to enter the Hall of Fame sometime down the road, he certainly improved his chances with this latest blast. He also joined Mickey Mantle, Eddie Murray, and Chipper Jones as the only switch-hitters to go deep on 400 occasions.
