New York Mets SP Bartolo Colon Hits First Career HR; Team Goes Nuts (Video)

As Gary Cohen of SNY made mention, “the impossible has happened.” Bartolo Colon has hit a home run for the New York Mets.

Yes folks, it has happened.

As shocked as SNY’s Gary Cohen and Ron Darling were onlooking from PetCo Park in San Diego, is as shocked as all of us were.

New York Mets starting pitcher Bartolo Colon has finally hit his first career home run.

Check it out in the video above. Colon smacks a 1-1 James Shields pitch in the top of the second inning. With that mighty power on full display, Big Sexy easily puts it over the left field fences.

With a runner on the pond, Colon’s first and only big league home run came by way of the 2-run homer variety.

The entire team was loving it so much that they vacated the dugout. Colon’s trip around the bases lasted 31 incredible seconds.

Round those bases Big Sexy. #BartoloColon #Mets
