New York Islanders’ Casey Cizikas Knocks Erik Condra Into Next Week (Video)

Game 1 of the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs between the New York Islanders and Tampa Bay Lightning is off to a physical start.

To say Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Divisional Final between the New York Islanders and Tampa Bay Lightning is off to a physical start, would be an incredible understatement.

Not only is the Isles famed fourth-line led by Cal Clutterbuck and Matt Martin knocking bodies around, but guys from Tampa, such as Brian Boyle, are doing the same.

The heaviest hit of the game up to this point has to be credited to Casey Cizikas of the Isles.

Check out the video above. Cizikas destroys Bolts’ Erik Condra as he’s in the worst spot on the ice as he looks to move the puck ahead. Condra remained down and completely wobbly before being helped off the ice.

His status is unknown at the moment, but it sure doesn’t look good.

Cizikas knocked him into next week to set the tone for the series.
