An opening week loss has now turned into two awful showings in a row for the New York Red Bulls after losing to the Montreal Impact today.

  • New York Red Bulls 0 (0-2-0, 0 pts)
  • Montreal Impact 3 (2-0-0, 6 pts)
  • MLS, Eastern Conference, Final, Box Score
  • Montreal Olympic Stadium, Montreal, Canada

If the New York Red Bulls thought it couldn’t get much worse after getting shutout by Toronto FC at home during MLS’s opening week, they were wrong.

On Saturday, the Red Bulls were shutout again. This time they were strangled by another Canadian team.

In Montreal, today, it was the Impact who gathered three goals to the Bulls zero.

Dominic Oduro 58′, Ignacio Piatti 71′, and Anthony Jackson-Hamel 90′ +4′ were the goal-scorers on the afternoon.

Next up for the Red Bulls will be the Houston Dynamo next Saturday back in New Jersey. The Bulls are still pointless through two games of the new campaign.
