The New York Jets are apparently growing impatient with quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick to the point that Robert Griffin III will visit.
It appears as though Mike Maccagnan and the rest of the brass making up the front office of the New York Jets are growing frustrated with their current quarterback situation.
According to Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports, the Jets are “growing impatient” with free agent quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Fitzpatrick is currently still floating around the free agent market after coming off a season that saw him throw almost 4,000 yards and possess a 31-15 TD/INT ratio with the green team for New York.
New York has very little money under the salary cap, and thanks to the exploding quarterback market in the NFL that has seen guys like Sam Bradford, Brock Osweiler and Chase Daniel get absurd money, the Jets-Fitz situation has become quite sticky.
Albert Breer of NFL Network has reported that the Jets have offered Fitzpatrick “a little more” than what Daniel received from the Philadelphia Eagles (3-years, $21 million, $12 guaranteed).
#Jets are frustrated with Fitzpatrick. They aren't going to circle with him forever. They believe his market outside of NY is very thin.

As for the Jets, QB Ryan Fitzpatrick knows where they stand. Their offer is a little better than what Chase Daniel got in Philly.

Perhaps this is why Maccagnan will now bring in Robert Griffin III on Friday, via Adam Schefter of ESPN.
