Check out Cincinnati Bengals running back Gio Bernard surprise local kids with gifts and holiday cheer during this very giving holiday season.

By David Hong

As Christmas draws near, Cincinnati Bengals running back Giovani Bernard recently did something as just as good as he usually does on the football field.

He decided to spread some holiday cheer by surprising a classroom full of young kids, mainly Bengals fans in Cincinnatti.

He went on a shopping spree to give each student gifts unexpectedly.

When the school dean introduced Bernard to the kids everyone was surprised as expected and touched by his presence and the gifts he gave each of them, from toys to even his autographed jersey.

All in all, getting the kids to root for their Bengals even more, especially Bernard, who is probably every kids favorite Bengal right now.

It’s always great seeing athletes provide good service especially to kids, bringing them joy. By playing Secret Santa, Bernard completely put the holiday joy in all those kids faces and it was a great sight to see.

Accomplishing feats on the field is always great, but so is the work outside of it in their community.

Other than God, sports are my biggest love. My teams are the Mets, Knicks, NY Giants, NY Rangers and St Johns basketball (St. John's alumni). I especially love the Mets like crazy, more than any other team and seeing them win the World Series would be a dream come true and definitely the best sports moment. The Knicks are a close second. I also like to write, so combine that with my passion for sports equals a perfect scenario, I would love to do sports writing long term. If not that, then probably sports broadcasting, cause I love to talk sports as well. In addition to writing for ESNY, I'm also currently writing for Metsmerizedonline.
