Spotting the Detroit Red Wings two goals through the first 40 minutes of the game, head coach John Hynes must have turned into Master Yoda and impressed some Jedi wisdom on his team.

Whatever was said, the Devils responded in a loud Prudential Center, that saw their team come back living up the saying, “It’s not over till it’s over.”

The first goal came off a slapshot from Damon Severson on the blue line at 17:20 of the third period to make it 1-2 Detroit:

With 5:20 left, the Devils found themselves on the power play after Red Wings forward Henrik Zetterberg was called for hooking. The Devils took advantage and got the equalizer off a deflection in front from rookie Sergey Kalinin:

Finally, the New Jersey native Kyle Palmieri made this night a memorable one for everyone at the Rock by scoring this top-shelf, backhanded shot past Jimmy Howard:

The team’s offical twitter account, @NHLDevils, couldn’t help themselves by mixing the Devils win with the theme of the night:

First, this Han Solo reference from Episode IV:

Then, we have this after the Imperial Forces, we mean the Red Wings, were defeated on Palmieri’s nasty game-winning goal:

Can we have a award at next year’s NHL Awards Show for the most entertaining Twitter?
