The time has finally come for the NFL to play Week 1 and kickoff the 2015 regular season. Road favorites are trending this weekend.

By Robby Sabo

Christmas in September? It’s hardly been a phrase uttered on an annual basis, yet football fans feel the presence of the fat, jolly Santa Claus himself at this very moment.

The NFL is back and Week 1 is only a few hours away from kicking off.

Looking at the schedule, anĀ overwhelming feeling of anxiety can quickly hit. Usually there will be a few sure things. And when think of sure things, we think of home favorites.

2015 brings a different look to the table as many of the favorites are traveling to different cities. The sheer amount of home dogs can make many pull their hair out when choosing who to go with in your survivor pool.

The theme following the day will be a ton of usually losing teams starting off 1-0. This will include the Raiders, Jags and Falcons.

The surprise pick of the day will go to the Buffalo Bills. While Andrew Luck is the best player in the league, the Colts front office did him a real injustice this past offseason by bringing in the veteran skill position player instead of building the offensive and defensive lines further.

Luck is a blessing and a curse. While he’s phenomenal, he also masks a team’s deficiencies to a point that a general manager gets fooled in thinking his personnel is better than it is. They had no business being in the AFC Championship Game last season. That was all Luck.
