Perhaps the Atlanta Braves were just what the doctor ordered for the New York Yankees. After slumping at the plate up and down the lineup for a while, the Bronx Bombers exploded for a total of 38 runs in their three-game sweep over the free-falling Braves.
On Sunday the series concluded with a 20-6 romping.

Chase Headley, Stephen Drew and Jacoby Ellsbury all smashed home runs in the game. Drew batted a perfect 4-for-4 with 4 RBI in total. It seemed anytime the Yanks had a runner in scoring position they’d knock it in somehow.
Even relief pitcher Branden Pinder did some damage to everybody’s amazement.

Nate Eovaldi once again received is world-renowned run-support he’s been so spoiled with in 2015. He yielded five runs on eight hits in only five innings of work but picked up the win.
