But Paris St-Germain’s 24 year old Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani, is the main target to replace 31 year old Robin van Persie at Manchester United. (Telegraph)

Premier League Champions Chelsea FC are confident in beating Arsenal and Liverpool to the signing of Barcelona Winger Pedro, after they reportedly triggered his £22m release clause. (Daily Star)

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has rubbished reports that Mesut Ozil is for sale, as he expects the German to play a very important role this season for the club. (London Evening Standard)

Manchester City are willing to spend up to £100m this summer transfer window, as they look to complete the signing of Wolfsburg’s 24 year old Belgian Midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne. (Telegraph)

Manchester City also look set to part ways with Edin Dzeko, and Stevan Jojvetic, which will in turn help the funding for De Bruyne. (Manchester Evening News)

Liverpool are still favorites to sign Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke, but refuse to pay the £32m asking price. (Daily Mirror)

Manchester City and Liverpool are both interested in signing Fulham’s 18 year old striker, Patrick Roberts. But the Championship club want £10m for him, which could cause issues, if a real interest was shown by either club. (Express and Star)

Swansea City Striker Michu, is set to return to his former club Rayo Vallecano, after his loan spell at Napoli was a flop. (Daily Star)

Crystal Palace are attempting to sign QPR goalkeeper Alex McCarthy, 25, who has a relegation clause of about £3.5m in his contract. (The Times)

David De Gea has joined Manchester United on their pre-season tour to the United States, which means that an imminent move to Real Madrid is off the table, but is still a possibility. (Independent)

Southampton have confirmed the signing of  Netherlands and Feyenoord Midfielder Jordy Clasie, after Morgan Schneiderlin was sold to Manchester United. (BBC Sport)

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has suggested Manchester United defensive target Sergio Ramos, 29, is a player who cannot leave, even though multiple sources say a deal may be completed soon. (Marca – Spanish)

Chelsea FC completed the signing of Stoke Goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, and he has now joined the club on their pre-season tour that starts in Montreal. (BBC Sport)
