The immortal Joey Chestnut actually falls to Matt Stonie in this year’s 2015 Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest.

The mere thought that the immortal Joey Chestnut cold actually lose during his competition on July 4th is as mind-boggling as it gets.

I mean honestly, how could a guy who’s scarfed down the most hot dogs during the last eight Nathan’s Hot-Dog Eating Contests actually walk away in shame?

The guy eats whatever he wants, whenever he wants. Machine is a better description than human for the 31-year old from San Jose, California.

No matter though, as 2015 turned out different.

The new guy on the scene, Matt Stonie, downed 62 hot dogs and buns to capture the 2015 version of the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating competition.

The 23-year old, who came in second to Chestnut a year ago, has officially dethroned the champ. Chestnut finished second with a paltry 60 hot dogs this time around.
