As we grow older, and hopefully wiser, what we realize about sports is that sometimes we just root for clothing.

Sure we have our absolute favorites. We could fall in love with the way somebody plays or simply carries himself on and off the field. Integrity of the player oftentimes plays a major part.

Now though, with hard salary caps and the business of sports at it’s all time high, rooting for the home city clothing has never been so apparent.

Don’t tell that to this five-year old super-fan from St. Louis.

Upon hearing the news that her favorite player, T.J. Oshie, was traded to the Washington Capitals in exchange for Troy Brouwer, Phoenix Copley and a third-round pick, she needed to be calmly consoled in the most gentle of ways.

Her devastation was epic.
