Watch New York Yankees starter C.C. Sabathia go absolutely bananas today as he got into it with home plate umpire Dan Bellino.

As Ice Cube once said a few times over the course of a tune, “today was a good day” for the New York Yankees.

They smacked down the Los Angeles Angels by the score of 6-2. Both Chris Young and Brett Gardner provided offense via the home run.

What made it more than phenomenal, though, was how well 34-year old lefty C.C. Sabathia pitched.1yanks2

His six-innings of work was as solid as it gets. He only yielded two earned runs, five hits and struck out seven over the course of the afternoon.

It was certainly a pleasant surprise for Joe Girardi and company.

What was also a pleasant surprise was his bulldog attitude towards home plate umpire Dan Bellino.

Upset with the strike-zone, Sabathia went absolutely nuts on Bellino as the sixth-inning ended. It was his first ejection since 2006.

As a Yankees fan, you have to love the fierce competitiveness of Sabathia here.
