I’m going to start off very direct and to the point.
If you’re over the age of 28, and you don’t miss the NBA On NBC, then you’re simply not a true basketball fan.
This was the golden era for current young adults. The age for which Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls dominated. The time when Patrick Ewing and the New York Knicks fought and gooned their way to the top, only to be shut down by No. 23 time and again. It was the age of Reggie Miller choke signs and Spike Lee actually becoming famous.
This was the time one of the best had a chance to say things like this:
Well, if I’ve gotten you too excited to now tune into ABC on Thursday night for Game 1 of the 2015 NBA Finals, I apologize.
Although, don’t get your panties in a bunch just yet. Luckily for us, this brilliant dude – YouTuber Ryan Eytcheson – created a video showcasing LeBron James and his Cleveland Cavaliers pitted up against Steph Curry and his Golden State Warrirors through the eyes of the classic NBA On NBC theme.
